2018 Southwest Michigan's Pre-Teen

London Adrianne Jolynn Tucker

Platform: Therapeutic Equine Center

London is thrilled to be representing the Southwest Michigan Scholarship Program as Southwest (SWMSP) Michigan's Pre-Teen 2018. She is honored to be a part of an organization that helps young people develop the skills necessary to honor, love and encourage others to be of service to their communities. She is proud to be a part of SWMSP's community-service oriented family that empowers young people to reach for the stars and strive for excellence in every activity they participate in. London is eager to begin her journey of promoting The Therapeutic Equine Center and its animal therapy program. She looks forward to meeting and serving the people who live and work in all the communities of Michigan's great Southwest.

She is eleven years old and lives with her parents, Mike and Nichole Tucker. She has three brothers: Michael, age 22, Tyler, age 20 and Cole who is four years old. She also has three sisters: Halie, age 23, Ciara, age 22 and Ireland, age 8. Twenty-two-year-old Erin Churchill is also a "sister" in her loving family. She resides in the lovely beachside community of South Haven and attends St. Paul's Lutheran School where she is a sixth grader.

In her spare time, she is enthusiastic about riding horses and spending time with her family. She also enjoys softball, cheerleading, cooking and shopping. London is well-rounded and participates in cheer, softball, and competes in the spelling bee. In the future, she plans to attend Michigan State University to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

In addition, she is devoted to volunteering. And, has spent time helping the Therapeutic Equine Center, as well as, the Common Table Food Pantry.

Animal therapy is London’s passion. She believes that the love of animals can help cure and bridge the gap for children and adults with special needs. The Therapeutic Equine Center (TEC), is located in Watervliet, MI, and helps not only children with special needs but our beloved veterans with post- traumatic stress Disorder (PTSD) and other emotional and physical challenges. London will spend this year volunteering to raise awareness of this wonderful organization and help bring attention, donations, and volunteers to its cause.
