It is almost impossible for me to adequately express my appreciation for all the volunteers who work with this organization to make such personal growth possible. I am eternally grateful for your advice and your dedication.

As soon as I was crowned, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to speak to the residents of Southwest Michigan about my passion for music. There are not many days that go by when I don't play the piano or practice my ukulele and guitars. It is simply what makes my heart happy. It has been heartwarming to feel all the support and encouragement I received from all the communities I visited during my various speaking engagements. I have also loved taking my ukulele on the road and seeing everyone smile as I play a song for them.

This summer has been a whirlwind of events. All the Southwest Reps have participated in many activities including festivals, parades, and preparation for the upcoming August pageant. The warm weather has been so enjoyable and helped to make many more pleasant memories to add to my most memorable year as Miss Southwest Michigan.

I am saddened to say that this will be my last newsletter I will write for Southwest. I am so happy that I was blessed to become friends with Heather, Kimberly, Raven, Sarah, Jenna and London. All of these ladies have contributed much to this program and I have been so grateful to have had them by my side through this whole experience.

Even though it is coming near the end of my journey, you won't be getting rid of me forever. I know I will be around to help with the program and to continue to network with all the wonderful people that reside here in Michigan's great southwest.
